BBC employees were told about Jermaine Jenas' departure from the corporation via a terse email, it has been revealed. BBC Sport's director Alex Kay-Jelski reportedly told colleagues at 3.39pm on Thursday, 22 August when a four-line email was sent out regarding the matter.The 41-year-old former footballer had forged a new career as a presenter and is best-known for hosting The One Show andMatch of the Day.Following a complaint regarding text messages sent to a female staff member the BBC launched an inquiry.

Jermaine has insisted there are "two sides to every story" in a response to the alleged accusations. It read: "Hello all, I wanted to let you know that Jermaine Jenas is no longer working for the BBC.Thanks, Alex." It has been reported that the reason behind Jermaine's dismissal relates to alleged inappropriate conduct concerning a female colleague from The One Show.

As per a BBC News article, the accusations involve digital communication, including text messages. Via a spokesperson, Jermaine said: "Right now I can't talk about it.

I can tell you I'm not happy - there are two sides to every story - and I'm going to be speaking with my lawyers on the issue.", reports the Mirror.
