Bojack Horseman fans celebrate 'best news ever' as new Netflix project confirmed

Bojack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg is returning to the streamer with a brand new animated comedy. Titled Long Story Short, Bob-Waksberg serves as writer and showrunner and will reunite with Bojack Horseman illustrator Lisa Hanawalt, who is handling the original design for the show.

The news comes exactly 10 years on Bojack's season one launch. The six-season series, which stars Will Arnett and Alison Bree, ran from 2014 to 2020.

The critically-acclaimed psychological comedy is set in Hollywood and offers satire takes on fame and societal issues, while dealing with serious themes including addiction and generational trauma.

The production company behind Bojack, Michael Eisner’s The Tornante Company, is back for Long Story Short. ShadowMachine, which did the animation, is also on board for the new series.
