Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently embarked on a four-day trip to Colombia, which has been deemed a "success".The former Royals visited the South American nation on a trip that included stops at Bogotá, Cali and Cartagena.The Colombian Ministry of Equality and Equity, led by Vice-President Francia Márquez, hailed the trip a "success".
Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, also financed the visit, The Minsitry confirmed, reports El Pais. A spokesman said: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex financed their trip and that of their team with their own resources," as reported by Express.co.uk.They denied reports in local media that the trip cost eight billion pesos (£1.5m), but the exact true cost has not been revealed.
Events attended by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in Colombia are said to have been "co-financed", with international agencies believed to have helped contribute towards the costs.
The trip has been deemed successful, with the Ministry saying the visit allowed the people of Colombia to engage with Harry and Meghan's Archewell Foundation.
