Tokyo Vice will not be returning for another season. During a panel at the Produced By conference on Saturday (June 8), producers confirmed that the MAX crime drama series starring Ansel Elgort has been canceled after two seasons.
The series was originally pitched as a two-season show and Ansel, 30, only signed on for two seasons. The season two finale aired on April 4 with the episode being aptly titled “Endgame.” Following the show’s official cancellation, creator and executive producer J.T.

They have supported us through thick and thin. Not only did they give us these two seasons, they said yes when we asked to end season one with a series of cliffhangers, and they said yes when we asked for two extra episodes so we could land the plane in the way [creator] J.T. [Rogers] had always envisioned,” the two shared, via The Hollywood Reporter.
