Third man charged over 'attempted murder' after alleged 'shooting and knife attack' at Glasgow shop
dailyrecord.co.ukA third man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged attempted murder at a Glasgow shop.Police were called to the scene on Ladymuir Crescent on Sunday, August 13, following reports of an incident allegedly involving a firearm and a knife.A 35-year-old man was found badly injured and rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
Medics described his injuries as being serious but not life-threatening.A 40-year-old man has now been charged by police in connection with the incident.
Two others, both aged 34, were arrested on Friday as part of a proactive operation in Glasgow’s Elmbank Street.All three are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday and a report has been submitted to prosecutors.A statement from Police Scotland said: “A third man, aged 40, has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a man in Glasgow.
The incident happened on Sunday, August 13, in the Ladymuir Crescent area of Pollok.“Two men, both aged 34, who were arrested as part of a proactive operation in Elmbank Street, Glasgow, on Friday, August 25, have subsequently been charged.“All three are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, August 28.
