Forensic officers have been pictured combing the horrific scene at a petrol station where a man reportedly 'set himself on fire'.
Emergency services rushed to the Tesco forecourt on Victoria Avenue East in Blackley at around 7:35pm on Monday (September 4) to reports of concern for the welfare of a man.
It is understood a man set himself on fire. He was rushed to hospital with life-threatening burns after being treated by fire crews at the scene. Police can be seen placing items into evidence bags and analysing a burned-out suitcase and trainers at the scene. A large emergency services presence was spotted at the supermarket petrol station on Monday evening (September 4) as fire crews and police worked.
