An Ayrshire-based care worker dropped a text message to a young service user asking for a “wee joint” because he’d run out of “green.”Jason Whiteford was found to have “breached professional boundaries” when he made the request to a young girl on July 21 last year.Whiteford’s behaviour, according to the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), fell “below the standards expected of a registered social service worker.”The organisation determined that Whiteford’s fitness to practise was “impaired” because of “misconduct” and struck his name from the register relating to support workers in a Housing Support Service - and support workers in Care at Home Service.Whiteford’s job title was redacted, while his Ayrshire employer’s details, at the time, has also not been disclosed.In their findings of fact, the SSSC said Whiteford texted a service user, known only as ‘AA’ saying: “You come roll me a wee joint?

It’s Jason.
