Autumn signifies the arrival of many things: Halloween, shorter days and pumpkin-spiced lattes. But one tradition which is much-loved by many is going out for an autumn walk.

It’s a chance to take in the glorious changing colours of the trees and feel the falling leaves crunching underfoot. Woodland walks can be particularly magical at this time of year, and one in the Peak District has recently been named among the best to do this autumn, according to a new study.

Padley Gorge, located in the eastern side of the Peak District, around a 90 minute drive from Greater Manchester, has been named the fourth best woodland walk in the UK.

This gorgeous walk takes you past tumbling waterfalls, trickling streams and twisted trees so it’s certainly atmospheric.
