The Masked Singer's Cricket's identity 'rumbled' as fans spot 'clever clues'

Cricket was one of the debut show performances when the ITV series returned to screens on 30 December and after a week off to introduce the other half of the cast, he is due to sing again this weekend.The show is notoriously strict on keeping contestants' identities a secret until the moment they are unmasked, but despite a series of clever clues, some eagle-eyed viewers are sure that they have already worked out Cricket is Blue singer Simon Webbe.
Insect Cricket also makes a nod to the sport with his outfit as he is dressed in pads and performed alongside backing dancers dressed as cricketers in his first show.
As part of his clues VT before battling it out with Maypole, Cricket spoke about being a "big hitter", adding: "My scores aren't just about cricket..." But canny viewers thought that the references to cricket as a sport were a red herring, and guessed that "big hitter" actually referred to hit songs.
