A teenager has been charged in connection with a spate of incidents in south Manchester. The alleged incidents happened near the Old Hall Lane area in Longsight and near the Toast Rack building in Fallowfield, police said.
An investigation was launched by local officers and an 18-year-old male was arrested. In an update issued today (January 29), police said Mohamed Ismail has since been charged with a string of offences in connection with the incidents.
The 18-year-old, of Roberts Avenue, Rusholme, has been charged with seven counts of robbery, five of possession of a bladed article, making threats and fraud. In a statement, police said: "#CHARGED I Mohamed Ismail (31/03/2005) of Roberts Avenue, Rusholme, has been charged with seven counts of robbery, five of possession of a bladed article, making threats and fraud in relation to a number of incidents in the Longsight and Fallowfield areas and will appear at court today (29/1/24)."
