Taylor Swift has taken to Instagram to thank all of the Scottish swifties who attended her three sell out shows on her Eras World Tour at Murrayfield Stadium this weekend. The Love Story sensation broke the all time attendance record for a stadium show in Scotland for three nights in a row after she played to a jaw dropping 222,000 fans in Edinburgh from June 7 to June 9.The 34-year-old made her return to Scotland for the first time in almost a decade on Friday to open the UK leg of her phenomenal Eras Tour at Murrayfield and she did not disappoint. The three and a half hour long show boasted a set list of around 45 tracks including four different mash up surprise songs on each night which Taylor played during the acoustic section on guitar and then piano.Taking to Instagram after her final performance in Edinburgh last night, she has shared a carousel of photos from her Scottish shows over the weekend as she gushed that she had been blown away by the support. The post read: "Edinburgh!!!

You truly blew me away this weekend. Thank you for breaking the all-time attendance record for a stadium show in Scotland 3 times in a row and for all the ways you made us feel right at home.

Love you, all 220,000 of you", alongside a love heart emoji.Taylor admitted at the weekend that one of her "biggest regrets" of her career was not bringing her other tours to Scotland with the singer having not performed to Scottish crowds since her 1989 tour in 2015 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. However, she seemed to make up for her absence over the years when she chose to perform one of her oldest tracks for the first time ever across her entire career during Saturday night's show.Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our
