Stunned staff at a Lanarkshire hospital treating a slashing victim on Christmas Day were shocked to find he was carrying a knife.Steven Kennedy claimed he took the blade with him as he made his way to hospital in case his attacker targeted him again.Kennedy, 45, appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court this week and admitted illegal possession of a knife at Monklands Hospital and elsewhere on December 25 last year.
