Roads were closed in Manchester city centre on Wednesday afternoon (September 20) amid a rescue mission to help a man who was stuck on scaffolding.
Emergency services descended on Swan Street and Oldham Street shortly after 1pm, following reports of an injured man who is believed to have suffered a broken ankle.
A number of fire engines and ambulances were in attendance as a huge fire aerial appliance was seen being used to help bring the man down to safety before he was taken to hospital from the scene.
