Netflix is offering up two of its big fall titles: The electrifying finance thriller “Fair Play,” which the streamer bought for a whopping $20 million out of the Sundance Film Festival, and the Chris Evans-Emily Blunt two hander “Pain Hustlers,” which world premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
But if you’re coming to streamers this month, it’s probably to watch a scary movie as the Halloween movie season takes over.
Disney’s “Haunted Mansion” reboot didn’t set the box office on fire over the summer, but it’s launching on Disney+ just in time to be a top choice for families this Halloween.
Peacock is hoping to lure subscribers to Blumhouse’s “Five Nights at Freddy’s” remake, which is streaming on the same day it opens in movie theaters.
