Danny Dyer was ever the proud dad this week as his daughter Dani Dyer announced that she is engaged to Jarrod Bowen on Sunday (21 July) - after the England and West Ham footballer popped the question during their holiday to Spain.

As Love Island star Dani shared the engagement news to Instagram with a series of sweet snaps - simply writing 'Us together' - her EastEnders actor dad wrote: "The most beautiful couple in the world.

Right….better start writing that speech. Love you both so much." Dani, 27, and Jarrod, also 27, have been dating for three years and share twin girls, Summer and Star.

While Dani is also mum to son Santi, three, from a previous relationship. Avid West Ham fan Danny has approved of the romance from day one, recently detailing the moment he met his son-in-law. "What do you say to him?
