Princess Anne Shares First Message Following Hospitalization for Horse 'Incident'

Princess Anne is continuing to recover after her recent hospitalization. Last week, the 73-year-old royal and sister to King Charles was hospitalized after she was reportedly possibly being hit by a horse, and was even said to have suffered some memory loss.

After several days in the hospital, Princess Anne‘s husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence confirmed that she had been released and was recovering at home.

On Monday (July 1), the Canadian Governor General shared a message on behalf of Princess Anne during a ceremony marking the centenary of the Newfoundland National War Memorial. Keep reading to find out more…“It is with deep regret that I am unable to be with you today, as you commemorate the brave efforts and sacrifices of the members of the Newfoundland Regiment who went into battle on the first day of the Somme,” Princess Anne shared in her statement. “I have fond memories of joining you in 2016, on the 99th occasion that the people of this Island commemorated the Battle of Beaumont Hamel, and I am deeply saddened that I’m unable to join you again, and I send you my warmest best wishes on this special day of commemoration,” she added. Princess Anne was scheduled to attend the event in Canada before her hospitalization.

A few weeks ago, Princess Anne joined the Royal Family at the Trooping the Colour ceremony, which was held in celebration of her brother’s birthday.
