Prince William and daughter Princess Charlotte have sent a video wishing England good luck for Sunday’s World Cup final.The future king posted the video to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday as he isn’t travelling to Australia for the Lionesses clash with Spain.It’s understood he decided not to attend because a trip Down Under would’ve involved flying across the world for a very short period of time.He plans to watch the match on TV.He said: “Lionesses, we want to send you a huge good luck for tomorrow.“We’re sorry we can’t be there in person, but we’re so proud of everything you’ve achieved and the millions you’ve inspired here and around the world.

So go out there tomorrow and really enjoy yourselves.”Charlotte added: “Good luck, Lionesses.”Queen Letizia of Spain and her younger daughter Infanta Sofia are making the 9,400-mile journey to Sydney.Prince William didn’t attend last year’s men’s World Cup, staged by controversial hosts Qatar, due to a busy winter schedule.He did see the Lionesses win the European Championship last year, presenting them with their medals at Wembley.Following the Lionesses’ semi-final victory on Wednesday, King Charles hailed the team over their win.The King sent his “warmest congratulations” from the royal family.Prince William won’t be the only high-profile figure absent from the final.
