Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; born 21 April 1926) is Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. Elizabeth was born in London, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and she was educated privately at home. Her father ascended the throne on the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII in 1936, from which time she was the heir presumptive. She began to undertake public duties during the Second World War, serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. In 1947, she married Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a former prince of Greece and Denmark, with whom she has four children: Charles, Prince of Wales; Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

Prince William marks Father's Day with sweet photo as royal children match in blue

Kensington Palace has released a heartwarming photo of Prince William with his three children to mark Father's Day. The adorable snap follows King Charles III's first Trooping of The Colour ceremony held on Saturday, in which the Duke Of Cambridge's entire family played a role.To celebrate the annual parental celebration on Sunday, William was pictured with daughter Princess Charlotte and son Prince George on either side of him, with Prince Louis hugging him from behind.

While wife Kate is not present, all four other members are dressed in blue, with nine-year old George matching his father in trousers and casual shirts.With a beaming smile, Louis is sporting a blue cable knit jumper, while Charlotte pairs a floral blue shirt with a white cardigan.

The picture was taken on the Windsor estate earlier this year by Millie Pilkington, who has photographed the Prince and Princess of Wales' children on a number of occasions, the Mirror reports.William's entire family were involved in Saturday's Trooping the Colour, the first of King Charles' reign.

Louis, on the Buckingham Palace balcony, saluted during the traditional Trooping flypast and also pretended to ride a bike with his arms stretched out.The Princess of Wales joined her children in a carriage with the Queen, travelling just behind the King, who was on horseback as part of the procession in a return to a tradition that Queen Elizabeth II stepped back from more than 30 years ago.William rode behind his father, alongside the Duke of Edinburgh and the Princess Royal.
