Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, KCVO ADC (Henry Charles Albert David;15 September 1984) is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales and is sixth in the line of succession to the British throne. Harry was educated at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been slammed for what seemed to be a stark "snub" to the late Queen Elizabeth II before her passing in 2022 according to a royal commentator.The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly turned down two personal invitations from Her Majesty in 2019: one to join her during her summer holiday at Balmoral with their then-infant son Archie and another to spend Christmas at Sandringham.

Instead, Harry and Meghan opted to travel to Canada for six weeks. Reflecting on these decisions, royal expert Robert Lacey said: "To compound it, as the Christmas holidays approached Harry and Meghan snubbed the Queen for a second time."They had not gone to stay at Balmoral with her in the summer, and they decided that they couldn't join her at Sandringham for the New Year break either."Harry and Meghan, who are also parents to three-year-old Lilibet stepped back from their senior working royals in 2020 and relocated to the US to start a new life outside of the monarchy, the Express reports.In her final days, the former royal couple stirred up controversy in their infamous Oprah Winfrey interview in March 2021 where they claimed an unnamed member of the Firm had made a racist remark about the colour of Prince Archie's skin before he was born.When Her Majesty drew her last breath at her beloved Balmoral residence in Scotland on September 8 2022 neither Harry nor Meghan were present despite being in the UK at the time of her death.
