BBC Breakfast hosts pause show to announce urgent breaking news over tragic deaths
dailyrecord.co.ukDuring Tuesday's episode of BBC Breakfast, presenters Sally Nugent and Jon Kay paused the programme to share some breaking news with viewers.Sally relayed: "A man has been charged with murdering the wife and two daughter's of the BBC racing commentator John Hunt."Carol Hunt and her daughters Hannah and Louise were killed in their home in Bushey in Hertfordshire in July this year."Jon further informed that a 26 year old man named Kyle Clifford has been charged with their murders.
The horrific attack took place on July 9, with Clifford being found injured in an Enfield cemetery the following evening, reports the Express.In addition to being charged for their murders, he has also been charged with one count of false imprisonment and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon.According to the Daily Mail, the 26-year-old is set to appear remotely at Westminster Magistrates' Court at 10am on Tuesday (September 17).While Clifford was receiving treatment for injuries in hospital, where he was under arrest, authorities were unable to interview him.Lisa Ramsarran, chief crown prosecutor for CPS Thames and Chiltern, stated: "Our thoughts remain with the Hunt family and all those who have been affected by this tragic incident."As criminal proceedings are active, there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online that could prejudice the defendant's right to a fair trial."John Hunt, a BBC racing commentator, has expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support he and his daughter Amy have received following the tragic death of his wife and two daughters.In an emotional statement, he said: "The devastation that we are experiencing cannot be put into words."We would like to thank people for their kind
