‘Person in difficulty’ at Scots building site as air ambulance called to scene

Emergency services have been called to a building site in Fife after a man was injured. Officers remain at the scene, with paramedics and fire crews, on Main Street in Cardenden after being notified shortly before 9am on Wednesday.It is understood Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance has also been tasked to attend and was photographed landing in a nearby grassy area.Police Scotland have confirmed that a 24-year-old man has been taken to hospital.

His condition is not currently known. A force spokesperson said: "Around 8.50am on Wednesday, 19 July, officers were called to support other emergency services at a building site near Main Street, Cardenden, Lochgelly after a man was injured."The 24-year-old man has been taken to hospital for treatment.

Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.”A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added: “We were alerted at 8.51am on Wednesday, July 19 to reports of a person in difficulty at a property in Main Street, Cardenden, Fife.“Operations Control immediately mobilised three fire appliances and specialist resources to the scene.

We currently remain in attendance.”A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call today at 0832 hours to attend an incident near Lochgelly. "We dispatched three ambulances, our special operations team (SORT) and a trauma team to the scene.
