Paddy McGuinness has revealed he will be taking on an epic endurance challenge in aid of Children in Need. The TV star and Radio 2 presenter announces plans to cycle through Wales, England and Scotland in the 300-mile challenge whilst appearing on Vernon Kay’s Radio 2 show this morning.
Paddy will follow in the footsteps of Vernon, who completed his own mega challenge in aid of the charity last year when he completed a 115-mile ultramarathon from Leicester to his hometown of Bolton - raising more than £6 million in the process. READ MORE: Zoe Ball sends 'so much love' to radio colleagues amid BBC Radio 2 return Paddy, who also hails from Bolton and hosts his Radio 2 show every Sunday morning, will start his Ultra Endurance Cycle Challenge on Monday, November 11, in Wrexham.
The start of the challenge will be captured live on BBC Radio 2. The route, which he expects to complete on Friday, November 15, will see Paddy travel through eight counties, including Flintshire, Cheshire, Merseyside, and Lancashire.
He will also stop at Preston, where Radio 2 in the Park took place in Moor Park earlier this month. Paddy will then head onto Westmorland, Cumberland, Dumfriesshire and Lanarkshire, before finishing up in Glasgow.
