Erin Boag, former favourite on Strictly Come Dancing, has shared insights into the life of a pro dancer on the popular BBC series, emphasising the need for "support".Boag, aged 49, graced the dance floor of Strictly from 2004 to 2012, impressing audiences while paired with well-known names such as Martin Offiah, Colin Jackson, Austin Healey, Ricky Groves, and Peter Shilton throughout her sparkling tenure. As the buzz around the 2024 series grows, Erin has offered her views on this year's celebrity-professional pairings and spared a thought for dancers like Kai Widdrington and Lauren Oakley who missed out on having a celebrity partner in the latest edition.

Erin highlighted that securing a partner is never a "guaranteed" affair and she believes this years matchups are particularly impressive.Representing Spin Genie, Erin remarked: "Unfortunately, not every year you can get a partner.

You're not guaranteed a partner. [Producers] would have looked at celebrities and gone, right, who would be the best pairing for these celebrities?

Obviously you could change some around, but I think the celebrity pairings and their pros are really good." She also said Kai Widdrington was "one of the best" among the professionals, saying that not being chosen for a celeb pairing should not be taken personally, reports the Express.
