Emergency services rush to Salford home in huge response - full police statement

Emergency services have rushed to a home following reports of a 'concern for welfare'. South Radford Street in the Kersal area of Salford is taped off, with police, firefighters and ambulances all at the scene.

A cordon in place near where the street joins Kingsley Avenue, with a police helicopter seen flying overhead by an eyewitness.

Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that the heavy emergency service presence follows a concern for safety. The Manchester Evening News understands that the incident is limited to one address and emergency services are not evacuating the street nor concerned for the safety of other homes. Officers alongside North West Ambulance Service and also Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue are currently working at the scene to establish the full circumstances. "This incident is contained and we don’t believe there to be any wider risk to the surrounding area.
