New tenants are beginning to enjoy home comforts at North Lanarkshire’s latest housing development, with the completion of 19 new properties at Shawhead in Coatbridge.Brooks Drive, on the site of demolished low-rise flats at Berwick Street, consists of 12 cottage flats, four houses with two or three bedrooms, and four wheelchair properties including three bungalows.A special event was held to celebrate completion of the council’s latest homes, with the new neighbours welcoming visitors including housing convener Michael McPake, Coatbridge South councillors Tracy Carragher and Geraldine Woods, plus representatives of the local authority and constructors Cruden.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
