North Lanarkshire Council to work with other local authorities to up electric vehicle charging points
dailyrecord.co.ukNorth Lanarkshire Council will work with other nearby local authorities as it seeks to expand provision of electric vehicle charging facilities.Councillors have agreed to participate in collaborative working across the Glasgow City Region, which consists of eight councils.
This approach will be used to find a commercial operator to expand infrastructure.They have also agreed in principle to join a working agreement across all eight councils in the region which would see one local authority designated as leader of the group and involve Glasgow City Region management using funding for work ultimately leading to a commercial partner being appointed, which would significantly limit the financial risk to councils.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
