Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Neil Lennon has dismissed claims he urinated on the pitch during a Rapid Bucharest training session, describing the allegations as "completely fabricated".Last month, reports in Romania claimed the Celtic hero had turned up to training in a "bad state" before proceeding to relieve himself on the pitch during a session.

However, the Liga 1 club quickly came out in defence of their manager to deny the claims and insisted that he is a consummate professional.

The former Hoops skipper and manager has endured a tough start in the dugout at Rapid, having drawn three and lost one of his first four league matches.

But appearing on fellow Celtic legend Frank McAvennie's Let Me Be Frank podcast, the ex Northern Ireland skipper has moved to quash the unsavoury reports about his behaviour.
