Jimmy Fallon
James Thomas Fallon (born September 19, 1974) is an American comedian, actor, television host, writer, and producer. He is known for his work in television as a cast member on Saturday Night Live and as the host of late-night talk show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and before that Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He grew up with an interest in comedy and music, moving to Los Angeles at 21 to pursue opportunities in stand-up comedy. He was commissioned to join NBC's Saturday Night Live as a cast member in 1998, fulfilling a lifelong dream. Fallon remained on SNL for six years between 1998 and 2004, co-hosting the program's Weekend Update segment and becoming a celebrity in the process. He left the program for the film industry, starring in films such as Taxi (2004) and Fever Pitch (2005).

NBCUniversal Entertainment Hires Universal TV Alternative’s Christine Cowan as SVP Casting (EXCLUSIVE)

Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer NBCUniversal Entertainment has tapped Universal Television Alternative Studio exec Christine Cowan as its new senior vice president of casting and talent.

In her new role, Cowan will head up casting and talent management for scripted and unscripted shows, with a particular focus on unscripted, across the NBCUniversal Entertainment brands NBC, Bravo, E!, Oxygen True Crime, SYFY, USA Network, Universal Kids and Peacock.

She reports to executive vice president of casting and talent Grace Wu. Cowan is shifting over from her role at Comcast-owned sister studio Universal Television Alternative Studios, where she held the role of vice president of casting and talent.

She was head talent booker and casting executive overseeing Jimmy Fallon’s “That’s My Jam,” “Baking It,” hosted by Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph, “Dancing with Myself,” starring Shakira, and NBC’s upcoming “The Americas,” narrated by Tom Hanks.
