Stuart Kettlewell hopes to bring in “one or two” forward players, but feels that Motherwell have goals throughout their team.And he’s grateful to have a week without a game, before the Steelmen host East Fife in what could be a winner-takes-all clash to see who emerges from Viaplay Cup Group G.Motherwell have played three of their four games, taking eight points, thanks to Jon Obika’s strike to beat Queen’s Park 1-0 at Fir Park yesterday.East Fife are at Queen of the South on Tuesday night, ahead of their visit to Fir Park, and a win in Dumfries would put them level on points.When asked about replacing Kevin van Veen’s goals, after the Dutch striker earned a big move to Groningen, Kettlewell told tournament sponsors Viaplay: “I knew it was always going to be a stick for people to hit me over the head with.“When you have a striker and they score 29 goals, everybody’s going to continually ask me how do we replace that, and the answer is always going to be ‘that’s a remarkable season’.“I genuinely believe that, as we stand just now, we have goals all round our team – midfielders, guys in wide areas, forward areas, and I think we’ll score from set-plays.“I want to add to that as well, I want to bring in one or two other players that maybe have that history of scoring goals and have that threat at the top end of the park.“It can’t just fall on one person’s shoulders, but I knew that, the minute that Kevin went to Groningen, that we would have to find a slightly different way of doing it.“But it’s certainly something we need to work towards over the coming weeks and months and find a life without Kevin van Veen.”Kettlewell hopes the clash with the Fifers will see his side into the latter stages of the League Cup, and he said:
