Clare Bailey, the wife of the late Dr Michael Mosley, has posted a heartbreaking new statement following the tragic death of her husband last month.
Clare, a GP and nutritionist, posted the touching message on Thursday, 11 July, the day before the BBC will remember the respected TV doctor in a special Just One Thing Day tribute, in honour of his BBC Radio 4 podcast. "We are trying to put our lives back together without Michael and it’s very hard," she wrote in the touching post on her Instagram page. "Not all the time.
We can smile and laugh too. As well as comfort each other. "Grief can feel overwhelming. Light and beautiful. Catch you by surprise.
Feel like the weight of a stone or a sharp pain. It changes unexpectedly." "As people often say, it’s a journey, not all sad and you take each day at a time," she continued. "The extraordinary outpouring of grief and gratitude for Michael and how he has changed so many lives is very moving, including the heartfelt thoughts and kindness extended to us as a family, for which we are incredibly grateful." Dr Michael, who worked on the likes of This Morning and The One Show, was confirmed dead after an extensive search of the Greek island of Symi, where the couple were on holiday.
