Former Celtic boss Martin O’Neill asked radio host Jim White if he wanted him to LEAVE their breakfast show after the pair were involved in a heated exchange over Mikel Arteta’s rant about Newcastle United’s winner against Arsenal on Sunday. The pair, along with Simon Jordan, discussed the weekend controversy as the Gunners gaffer was seething at Anthony Gordon’s goal at St James’ Park when the ball appeared to have gone out of play in the build up with VAR also checking for a foul by Joelinton who appeared to push Gabriel Magalhaes and offside.
But all three decisions went in favour of the Magpies.Arteta labelled it "embarrassing" and a “disgrace" and the Spaniard was backed up by a club statement 24 hours later.
O’Neill was appearing on his regular slot as a guest on the show and said: “The goal should’ve been disallowed, it’s as simple as that.
I'm totally with him. I'm absolutely with him. He's being interviewed immediately after the game. He has seen the incident back, it's taken four-and-a-half minutes to finally make a decision."Three's three possibilities of that not being a goal.
