A trans woman has spoken out after claiming she had her 'wig ripped off' and was 'punched' in an attack after a night out in Manchester's Gay Village.

Andreyaa Hora, 42, had been enjoying an evening drinking with friends when she walked back along Sackville Street to get a taxi home at around 4am on Sunday morning (December 3).

Andreyaa, who identifies as a female and began transitioning in 2020, says she remembers a group of young men walking past her near Club Tropicana and hurling slurs towards her. "I had been to the cabaret and saw my friends outside the Eva Lounge.

I went inside to say hello and as I came back out, was walking outside past McTucky's and Club Tropicana," she told the M.E.N. "There was a group of guys coming over and they were clearly drunk.
