Farid Alfa-Ruprecht has expressed his delight at signing his first professional contract at Manchester City. Alfa-Ruprecht played 21 times for City's under-18 side as they won the Under-18 Premier League for the fourth year in succession, while he also played for the under-19s in the UEFA Youth League.

He ended the season with three goals and three assists having signed last summer from Hamburg. Now, the 17-year-old has been rewarded with a professional contract after a promising first season in Manchester, and he will hope for more opportunities as other forwards take a step up to the Elite Development Squad next term.

Comfortable across the attacking midfield positions, Alfa-Ruprecht took to Instagram to vow to continue working hard after sealing his contract.
