Former Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan has set his sights on helping Barcelona's next generation of talent after completing his move to Camp Nou last month.

The Germany international, who scored twice in City's 2-1 win over Manchester United in last month's FA Cup final, joined the Spanish giants on a free transfer after his deal at the Etihad Stadium expired.

He has signed a two-year deal, featuring an eye-watering €400million buyout clause. Gundogan, 32, spent seven years at City, scoring 60 goals and grabbing 40 assists in 304 appearances.

He also won 14 major trophies, including five Premier League titles. City presented the former Borussia Dortmund ace with the offer of a new contract, but he favoured a move to the La Liga champions.
