Manchester City may have to wait until summer 2025 to learn their fate from their 115 Premier League charges, new reports claim.
City were handed 115 charges by the Premier League earlier this year for alleged breaches of their financial rules. The case will be heard by an independent commission, which could carry carry significant punishments if proven.
The club have always insited their innocence, and welcomed an impartial review where they can defend themselves. Earlier in November, Everton were given a 10 point deduction for a separate financial rule breach, and now a report suggests City's case may not come before the Independent Commission for another 12 months. With the sheer amount of evidence set to be heard, and then ruled over, the report says any verdict on the charges would not come until Summer 2025 at the earliest.
