Woman dies after collapsing in Edinburgh shop

A woman has died after taking unwell in an Edinburgh shop on Friday morning.Emergency services rushed to Bruntsfield Place in the Capital at around 10am on December 29, after reports of a person taking ill.

Sadely, the woman died at the scene.According to an eyewitness who spoke to Edinburgh Live, the incident took place inside Paton & Finlay pharmacy, where staff raised the alarm.Despite the best effort of hero shop workers, who performed CPR in an attempt to save her life, the woman sadly passed away.A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 10.06am today to attend an incident in Bruntsfield.

We dispatched two ambulances to the scene.”A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a woman having taken unwell at a premises on Bruntsfield Place, Edinburgh around 10.15am on Friday, December 29, 2023.“Emergency services attended, however, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
