Loose Women star to make shock return 4yrs after quitting ITV hit
ok.co.ukOne of Loose Women's biggest-ever stars returned to the show today, four years after her departure - and announced she was coming back.
Andrea McLean, 54, left viewers stunned when she made a big comeback to the ITV show, teasing that she is set to return as one of the permanent hosts later this year.
She announced on a the Surprise Surprise-themed special show: "In terms of coming home, you’ll be seeing me again in September - I'm going to be here!" Andrea added: "‘With Loose Women, you are part of the discussion you have to share parts of your life and your personal life - and I’m so glad I did it here." The presenter appeared on Loose Women from 2007 until 2020, before leaving in an emotional special show, to start a new career away from screens working as an author and launching a podcast with her husband Nick Feeney.
She said at the time: "‘I just thought, I will never know unless I try so I am saying goodbye to Loose Women." Speaking today about her previous appearance during the Covid years, she said: "Last time I was here I had to have my temperature taken, I had a mask, there was no audience, it was such a scary time. "Because its back to normal now, we forget that moment in time.
