A period of damp gloom that has come to define early summer 2024 is set to be disrupted by a spell of warmer weather.Many Scots will be breathing a sigh of relief at the news that more summery weather is on the way.
The latest report from the Met Office indicates when conditions will start to feel 'increasingly hot'.Starting from the second half of this week, the national forecaster reports that the mercury will see a 'steady uptick'.
This first period of warmer weather will be short-lived, but experts say the weather will shift toward much warmer conditions next week.Today will see lots of fine and dry weather thanks to a ridge of high pressure, according to BBC Scotland Weather.
The service says: "Beyond that, it looks as though summery weather may begin to show its hand, from Sunday into the start of next week."The key time for sun-starved Scots to look forward to is next week.
