Justin Timberlake

Justin Randall Timberlake (born January 31, 1981), occasionally known by his initials JT, is an American singer, songwriter, actor, dancer, and record producer.

Raised in Tennessee, he appeared on the television shows Star Search and The All-New Mickey Mouse Club as a child. In the late 1990s, Timberlake rose to prominence as one of the two lead vocalists and youngest member of NSYNC, which eventually became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time.

Timberlake began to adopt a more mature image as an artist with the release of his debut solo album, the R&B-focused Justified (2002), which yielded the successful singles "Cry Me a River" and "Rock Your Body", and earned his first two Grammy Awards.

Ricky Gervais has made a post on X, seemingly referring to Justin Timberlake’s recent arrest.The singer was reportedly accused of driving under the influence on June 18 in Long Island, New York.

According to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office, the ‘Cry Me A River’ singer was expected to be arraigned in Sag Harbor.Many people have taken to social media to react to the singer’s arrest, including comedian Ricky Gervais who made a post seemingly trolling Timberlake.The comedian posted on X: “@jtimberlake Did you get the bottle of Dutch Barn Vodka I sent you the other day?’, seemingly referring to the alleged reason for Timberlake’s arrest.Fans have been reacting to Gervais’ comment, with one user writing: “Things like Gervais trolling Timberlake is what makes Twitter so great”, while another wrote: “the best post on x today hands down”.According to a criminal complaint obtained by the New York Post, the ‘Mirrors’ singer had “bloodshot and glassy” eyes, and smelled strongly of alcohol. “He was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardised field sobriety tests,” read the report.The former *NSYNC member also reportedly refused to take a blood-alcohol-content test, and later refused a breathalyser test, according to The New York Post.The singer is set to perform at Chicago’s United Centre on June 21 and 22, before heading to New York’s Madison Garden for a two-night run next week (June 25 and 26).It is unconfirmed whether Timberlake’s performances will go ahead.
