Line of Duty star Martin Compston has revealed the terrifying moment he had while filming a brand new series, as he shared behind the scenes details from the documentary.

Martin Compston's Norwegian Fling is a six-part series that sees the popular BBC actor best known for a gritty police show head out on a gorgeous 2,000 mile-long trip around northern Europe with his close pal Phil MacHugh. The stars travel from Oslo to the North Arctic, experiencing incredible scenery along the way.The pair get stuck in to adventures such as zip-lining and heavy-metal concert crowd-surfing, before a special encounter with Martin and a wolf will leave viewers gobsmacked. They also spend time getting down and dirty with labour work, operating as deck hands on a fishing boat in the fjords and learning helicopter safety training.

But during one of these adventures, Martin even came dangerously close to a "blazing inferno", as he teased what's to come in the programme. "The oil rig training, the fire stuff was great fun," he said in a press interview for the BBC. "Really by the time they got into it, you were less than a meter from a blazing inferno on your face. That was so exciting! “But my personal highlight was being in with the wolves," the star went on. "That was so primal, being in amongst a wolf pack.

When they started howling, you know, I've never quite felt anything like that. The actor went on to say that the sound was so breathtaking it left him with a tingling sensation all over his body and was something that he'd "never experienced before". "Even if that was the only thing I took away from the trip, you know that’s something I'll always remember," he added.
