The Nolans have confirmed that Linda has not passed away – despite reports on social media. Earlier this year, Linda shared the heartbreaking news that her cancer had spread to her brain and will undergo radiotherapy as a result.

The songstress, 64, was first diagnosed with breast cancer in almost 20 years ago, but insists that she's "living with" the illness, rather than dying from it.

In a now-deleted tweet shared earlier this week, radio host Tony Airey shocked fans of the band by saying Linda had died. He wrote alongside a photo of Linda: “So sad to read that @LindaNolan_ has died i have so many memories seeing the Nolans at concerts i still have a signed photo from 83 Crawley Sports Centre West Sussex loved playing their music on my mobile disco & hospital radio crawley sending condolences to family R.I.P Linda." The Nolans official Twitter page quickly reacted to the tweet and reassured fans that it was incorrect. “Just over 20 minutes since this was tweeted and the sheer volume of calls we’ve received because of this,” their tweet read. “Linda Nolan is absolutely NOT dead.” Dozens of fans went on to express their relief that Linda was alive and well. The last update Linda issued to fans was in March, with the I’m in the Mood for Dancing hitmaker sharing a brave statement on Good Morning Britain. “I've always been open about my treatments and what's happening in my life,” she shared from her home in Blackpool at the time. “I just want to tell you, from me, that unfortunately and sadly for me my cancer has now spread to my brain, which I only found out on Monday.
