Lanarkshire residents see completion of sheltered housing renovation

Two years of renovations at a Lanarkshire sheltered housing complex have come to an end with the completion of a new-build common room, landscape improvements and fire safety upgrades in each individual property.Residents at Dundyvan Gardens in Coatbridge were decanted in turn from their homes, in some cases for more than three months, while the £1.8 million project took place.It has resulted in the creation of the new shared social space, hairdressing facilities and outdoor family areas; plus the installation of colour-coded doors and frames which assist those with dementia or visual impairments, and a new area for residents to charge their mobility scooters.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
