A Lanarkshire MP has called on the UK Government and the Department of Work and Pensions to end the practice of reassessments for the terminally ill.Motherwell and Wishaw MP Marion Fellows called on the Leader of the House, Penny Mordaunt MP, to organise a debate on the “abhorrent practice” of PIP reassessments imposed on the terminally ill.The issue arose when a terminally ill constituent got in touch after they were distraught at being contacted by the DWP for a reassessment after outliving her projected diagnosis.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
