South Lanarkshire Council to raise rent by 3.5 per cent

South Lanarkshire councillors have given the go-ahead to increase rent by 3.5 per cent, as well as investing in housing.Elected members at today’s Housing and Technical Resources committee (January 23) approved plans to increase rent by 3.5 per cent to all council properties and to invest £63.91 million in council housing.Councillor David Shearer (Clydesdale West), praised the work of council officers and endorsed the plans.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
