A North Lanarkshire councillor has hit out at the UK Government after Ravenscraig missed out on millions of Levelling Up Funding.

Proposals to support the next phases of development at the former industrial site suffered a setback after missing out on £19 million from the UK’s Levelling Up Fund.The funding was to be used to support the development of a seven-hectare site with mixed use town centre plots building on the development of the sports facility, park, the new Employment Access Road and related plots as well as transport routes and other infrastructure.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
