nme.comJamie xx has reunited with the Avalanches for his latest single ‘All You Children’ from his forthcoming second solo album.‘All You Children’ sees Jamie xx and the Australian electronic group team up, creating a swirling club anthem with a pulsing beat with the lyrics: “All you children, gather ’round / We will / dance and we will whirl / We will dance to our own song / We will spin to our own world / Won’t you dance with me?”The song also marks the second collaboration between Jamie xx and the Avalanches, following their team-up on ‘Wherever You Go’ on the latter’s 2020 LP ‘We Will Always Love You‘.Speaking about their collaboration in a press release, Jamie xx shared: “The Avalanches have always been an inspiration for me.
Their sample technique and how they piece together different sounds is incredible and collaborating on a track with them has showed me new ways of making music.”The Avalanches added: “We’re so excited about the release of this track with Jamie ‘All You Children’.
We hope you love it as much as we do.”‘All You Children’ serves as the fourth single to be released from xx’s forthcoming second solo album ‘In Waves‘ which is set for release on September 20.
