Plans to develop a transport interchange at the relocated Hairmyres Station have been given the go-ahead.Councillors on this week’s planning committee (August 27), approved plans to develop a park-and-ride facility with integrated transport facilities at the East Kilbride station.Elected members added a condition to the plans to include a new pedestrian crossing to help facilitate users of both the station and the nearby St James Retail Centre.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
