Two men charged after horror M8 crash involving unmarked police car and Mercedes

Two men have been charged in connection with a horror crash with an unmarked police car on the M8 which left seven people in hospital.

Emergency crews scrambled to the scene in Glasgow at around 1.10pm on Wednesday, July 24, after a Mercedes A45 collided with an unmarked Volvo S90 police car and a Mercedes CLS, which were on the hard shoulder of the motorway.Two male officers and two men from the Mercedes CLS were rushed to hospital following the crash.

In an update on Wednesday August 28, police said a 48-year-old officer and a 43-year-old man remain in a stable condition in hospital.

A 38-year-old police officer and a 31-year-old man were discharged following treatment.
