Liam Gallagher
William John Paul Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis in the 1990s and 2000s, and later fronted the rock band Beady Eye in the early 2010s, before beginning a solo career after the dissolution of both bands. One of the most recognisable figures in British music, he is noted for his outspoken and abrasive manner; penchant for wearing parkas; distinctive singing style, in which he elongates vowels; and signature stance on stage, which consists of him holding his arms behind his back and singing up into a downward-facing microphone.

Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, frontmen of the iconic Britpop band Oasis, have set the record straight amidst swirling rumours that they would be playing the Glastonbury Festival as part of their tour next year.

X was buzzing after hints suggested that the Gallagher brothers might headline the famous festival following news of their exciting comeback tour.

However, the Oasis legends were quick to dash these hopes on Wednesday 28 August. The band made it crystal clear: "Despite media speculation, Oasis will not be playing Glastonbury 2025 or any other festivals next year." The band did play Glastonbury in 1995 and then again 2004, but Liam later admitted he "hated" their latter performance due to the in-ear monitors he wore on stage. "I’ve always enjoyed Glastonbury. There’s only one that I didn’t and that was when I wore a white jacket," he told BBC 6 Music’s Matt Everitt in 2019. "I didn’t enjoy that because that was when I’d first started using in-ears and it’s spun me out for 15 years.

I hated that gig, man.” Oasis have now underlined the exclusivity of their return to live music by stating: "The only way the band will perform will be on their Oasis Live '25 World Tour." So far, they have released information about July and August dates in London, Manchester, Dublin, Edinburgh and Cardiff, leading fans to hope that the words World Tour means more concert dates, and more venues around the world, will be added soon.
