Horror 'murder bid' on Scots street leaves man in hospital as two men charged in connection

Police investigating a late-night 'murder bid' in an Aberdeenshire town have arrested two men in connection.A 33-year-old man was discovered on Watermill Road in Fraserburgh on Saturday night before being rushed to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

His current condition is unknown. Investigators have confirmed that a 44-year-old and a 30-year-old have now been charged with attempted murder.

The duo are set to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday, May 15.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Two men aged, 44 and 30 have been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 33-year-old man which happened in Watermill Road, Fraserburgh around 10.55pm on Saturday, 13 May, 2023."The victim was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment."The men are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday, 15 May, 2023."
